Is It Really Bush's Fault?

This tells the story, why Bush was so bad at the end of his term. Don't just skim over this, read it slowly and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it out. The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time: The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6% George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH Remember the day... January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES! Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES! Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy. And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress So when someone tries to blame Bush... REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!" Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 &2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th. There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

Republicans are using the proposal to highlight Obama's delay of the project ahead of November presidential and congressional elections, linking his decision to rising gasoline prices. "We're going to continue this fight," said Republican Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota, who championed the bill. He told reporters he hoped the measure might still be attached to the highway funding package when the Senate and House of Representatives work on a final version. "With gas prices going up every day, with what's going on in the Middle East, I'll tell you what: the pressure is just going to increase on the administration to get this project done," Hoeven said. Obama has supported construction of the southern leg of the pipeline, and his administration will assess a new route around an environmentally sensitive area of Nebraska once it has been identified, said White House spokesman Clark Stevens. "Once again, Republicans are trying to play politics with a pipeline project whose route has yet to be proposed," Stevens said. The entire project will take more than two years to build once permits are granted. GREEN GROUP: 'TEMPORARY VICTORY' The Keystone amendment was among 30 measures - many of them energy-related - being voted on as the Senate pushes in coming days to renew funding for highways and other infrastructure projects, slated to run out at the end of March. Earlier, the Senate defeated proposals to expand the area available for offshore oil drilling and extend the time for manufacturers to phase in new pollution regulations set by the Environmental Protection Agency for industrial boilers. But the Keystone amendment attracted the most attention. The pipeline would carry crude from Canadian oil sands to Texas refineries and would also pick up U.S. crude from North Dakota and Montana along the way. Environmental groups have fought the project, staging large protests last year that pressured the Obama administration to block approval. "Today's vote was a temporary victory and there's no guarantee that it holds for the long run," Bill McKibben, founder of 350.org, said in a statement. "We're grateful to the administration for denying the permit and for Senate leadership for holding the line." With a 34-64 vote, senators also defeated a proposal from Democratic Senator Ron Wyden that would have blocked exports of oil from the pipeline, as well as refined products made from that oil. Wyden said lawmakers need to carefully think through projects that would increase exports of oil, fuel and natural gas, lest the exports end up boosting prices for Americans. "This is just a step in what is clearly going to be an extensive debate," Wyden told Reuters after the vote. Democratic senators who voted for the Republican Keystone plan included Max Baucus and Jon Tester of Montana, Kent Conrad of North Dakota, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Jim Webb of Virginia. MTW- Pipeline off again; and Mr. Obama says he has nothing to do with the price of gasoline? It is all too clear that he is holding on to this one, to use it when he needs, perhaps for the approval and votes of the American Citizens. He is, obviously, under the influence of the lobbyists for the environmentalists. Once he needs more votes, he will screw them over, as his mission would appear to be re-elected. If that happens, he no longer needs their support. If he does not need this (pipeline) to achieve re-election, he will push for it in his next term, and place that feather in HIS cap, taking all credit. These political lobbies, with their millions keep him going. Along the way, the average Citizens are merely pawns in his chase for a second term. This pipeline would not only bring us much needed jobs, but perhaps also a decrease in fuel prices, and certainly less dependence on the oil in the Middle East. We need to GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE with our troops, whom have all served many more tours than is acceptable for their wellbeing. He is the worst Commander –In-Chief our Armed Forces have had to contend with, ever. He does not appear to care about them, which infuriates me, as many of my family members have served in all branches. If 11 Democrats voted for this pipeline, what does that tell you? It tells me that they, too, may not agree with their apology (excuse) man. I do not care which party he belongs to, nor do I care about the color of his skin or heritage. I would not have a different opinion if it were a white Republican destroying our former Great Nation.

San Antonio Prep Hoops Fans Accused of Racism Over USA Chant

By Cameron Smith| Prep Rally A high-profile high school in one of the wealthiest districts of the San Antonio region finds itself under fire after its fans chanted "USA, USA, USA" following its boys basketball team's regional final victory against a team made up predominantly of Hispanic players. As reported by KENS5.com, the Alamo Heights (Texas) High boys basketball team's regional title celebrations were marred by the aforementioned "USA" chants, which came from the school's fan section in the school's Littleton Gym. While San Antonio Independent School District athletics director Gil Garza insisted that Alamo Heights boys basketball coach Andrew Brewer acted quickly to quash the inflammatory chants, the school at which they were directed -- San Antonio (Texas) Edison High -- filed an official complaint about the incident with the University Interscholastic League, the governing body which oversees Texas public high school extracurricular activities. "I appreciate coach Brewer taking the action he took to stop it," Garza told KENS5. "Our kids try real hard and work extra hard to get to the regional tournament, and then we have to worry about them being subjected to this kind of insensitivity. "To be attacked about your ethnicity and being made to feel that you don't belong in this country is terrible. Why can't people just applaud our kids? It just gets old and I'm sick of it. Once again, we're on pins and needles wondering what's going to happen." The chants -- which can be heard in the video from San Antonio TV station KSAT below -- and subsequent brouhaha overshadowed Alamo Heights' first berth in the state basketball tournament in 21 years, earned by virtue of a 50-39 victory against Edison. The Alamo Heights School District will now have 10 days to officially respond to the complaint from SAISD, but the district's superintendent wasted no time in offering up his apologies for the fan section's actions, which you can hear in this video from San Antonio TV station KSAT. "Obviously, we were disappointed that this happened," Alamo Heights superintendent Kevin Brown, who reportedly apologized to SAISD officials personally, told KENS5. "That's not who we are as a community and that's not who we are as a school. It's not something that's acceptable for us. Our kids are very respectable. We have to remember that they're teenagers, and kids make mistakes. "Still, there are consequences. We have tried to use this as a teachable moment for them. We have talked to our students. We've taken responsibility for it, although what happened is not representative of everybody who was there." Meanwhile, at least one report noted that Edison students may have inflamed the situation by chanting "Alamo whites" either before or after the "USA, USA" chant began. Still, while that claim was reported by one San Antonio Express-News columnist it has not been substantiated by other sources (though it has also been perpetuated by Alamo Heights supporters online, which doesn't necessarily speak to its veracity or lack thereof). While it may still be some time before all the consequences connected with the chanting incident are sorted out, the fans whom Brewer and other Alamo Heights officials identified as being involved in the chanting incident have already been banned from attending the team's state semifinal against Dallas (Texas) Kimball High in Austin on Thursday.


MTW- Um, I am confused. Was this game not played in the USA, with 2 American schools? Were they not playing other Americans, or was the other team filled with non-Americans? Do Hispanics that are Citizens not consider themselves Americans? We do not need people here if they do not like it here. In short, to chant USA, while in the USA, is not something to punish these kids for. I am proud to be an American. It is called freedom of speech, and also Patriotism. If you have a problem with the 1st Amendment, take it up with the Supreme Court, as long as we are still a Free Country. Better hurry! There are too many apologies going on these days. Should Christians Support President Obama?

This man was on Dr. Charles Stanley's program "In Touch" as a guest speaker.

Dr. David Barton is more of a historian than a Biblical speaker,

but very famous for his knowledge of historical facts as well as Biblical truths.

Respect the Office? Yes.

Respect the Man in the Office? No, I am sorry to say.

I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans,

called upon America to unite behind Obama.

Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama!

I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator

and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it.

I have begun today to ! see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President!

Why am I doing this ?

It is because: - I do not share Obama's vision or value system for America;

- I do not share his abortion beliefs;

- I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;

- I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make$150,000+

(the ceiling has been changed three times since August);

- I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;

- I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation;

- I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;

- I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than our American

Citizens who need help;

- I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;

- I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel

is our enemy who should give up any land;

- I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);

- I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America;

- I do not share his Strategic  views of the Middle East; and

- I certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes, such as Iran.

Bottom line: my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a

higher obligation to my Country and my GOD to do what is Right!

For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous

entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but

for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family,

and his spiritual beliefs!

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their

philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their

personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country!

They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated

except being intolerant!

They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years!

They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the

founding and growth of our Country!

They have made every effort to remove the name of GOD or Jesus Christ

from our Society!

They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms,

and the most basic principles of our criminal code!

They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the

right of free speech!

Unite behind Obama? Never!

I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard,

but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe

are the embodiment of Evil!

PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not

sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed

his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our

Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America, and I will honor the concept; however, I

will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama

and his "goals for America ..."

I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked,

will destroy our Country! Any more compromise is more defeat!

I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have

sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-GOD crowd

to slowly change so much of what has been good in America!

Gotta Love The Concealed Handgun Law!

Retired Marine and former Pan Am/Delta Pilot John Lovell is Top Gun at Subway Sandwich Shop
Plantation, Florida:
Last week police were called to investigate an attempted armed robbery: The 71-year-old retired Marine who opened fire on two robbers at a Plantation, Florida, Subway shop late Wednesday, killing one and critically wounding the other, is described as John Lovell, a former helicopter pilot for two presidents. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke, and he works out every day. Mr. Lovell was a man of action Wednesday night.

According to Plantation police, two masked gunmen came into the Subway at1949 N. Pine Rd. just after 11 p.m. There was a lone diner, Mr. Lovell, who was finishing his meal. After robbing the cashier, the two men attempted to shove Mr. Lovell into a bathroom and rob him as well. They got his money, but then Mr. Lovell pulled his handgun and opened fire. He shot one of the thieves in the head and chest and the other in the head.
When police arrived, they found one of the men in the shop, K-9 Units found the other in the bushes of a nearby business. They also found cash strewn around the front of the sandwich shop according to Detective Robert Rettig of the Plantation Police Department.
Both men were taken to the Broward General Medical Center, where one, Donicio Arrindell, 22, of North Lauderdale died. The other, 21-year-old Frederick Gadson of Fort Lauderdale is in critical but stable condition.
Mr. Lovell was a pilot in the Marine Corps, flying former Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He later worked as a pilot for Pan Am and Delta Airlines.
He is not expected to be charged authorities said. ''He was in fear for his life,'' Detective Rettig said, "These criminals ought to realize that most men in their 70's have military backgrounds and aren't intimidated by idiots."
Something tells me this old Marine wasn't 'in fear for his life', even though his life was definitely at risk. The only thing he could be charged with is participating in an unfair fight. One 71-year young Marine against two punks. Two head shots and one center body mass shot.
Outstanding shooting! That'll teach them not to get between a Marine and his meal.
Florida law allows eligible citizens to carry a concealed weapon. Don't you just love a story with a happy ending?

Old people don't fight, they just shoot you.

Is This G. W. Bush's Fault, Too?

Obama and Congress Set Record Budget Deficit in February

COMMENTARY | The Obama campaign just released the trailer for its 17-minute, Hollywood-composed documentary -- entitled "The Road We've Traveled" -- which purportedly touts the President's so-called accomplishments in financial reform, the auto industry, and his landmark healthcare reform law. "How do we understand this President and his time in office?" Hollywood A-lister Tom Hanks narrates over a melodramatic soundtrack. "Do we look at the day's headlines or do we remember what we as a country have been through?"
Naturally, the economic dormancy, fiscal tragedies, and soaring unemployment levels are absent from the trailer -- and most likely, from the movie itself. Indeed, President Barack Obama's alleged leadership in the economic crisis has led to record-breaking measures, particularly regarding the nation's fiscal shape.
That's right, pop the champagne and release the confetti, because the federal deficit in fiscal year 2012 has already exceeded half a trillion dollars.
The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the government will foster a deficit of $229 billion in February, the highest monthly figure in U.S. history. The previous record was $223 billion, which was achieved in February 2011, according to the Washington Times.
The record figure narrates a damning tale: The federal government is borrowing far more money while incurring far less revenue than it needs to fill the expanding fiscal gap. In fact, the Times reported, "the government has borrowed 42 cents of every dollar it spent during the first five months of this fiscal year."
And to pass all the blame Congress would be imprudent. Obama's leadership, particularly regarding fiscal matters, has led to a mass expansion in welfare benefits, billions of dollars in failed green-energy projects, and a near-trillion-dollar economic stimulus law that proved futile for the nation's unemployment picture.
Without a doubt, such financial ineptitude should reflect poorly on Congress, for both Republicans and Democrats. But one would think such a fiscal landmark would be calamitous for the President's November election results. Granted, President George W. Bush was no fiscal saint. But Obama has been in office for more than three years, and the "blame Bush" phenomenon is not only wearing thin, it's long worn out its credibility.

How much of the American tax-payer’s money is this horrible man going to spend on his re-election? Did Tom Hanks and the Hollywood folk foot the bill for your movie? They are his biggest fans. They are the wealthiest. These self-absorbed VERY RICH and VERY OVERPAID entertainers seem to not care about this Nation, nor do they care for the folks whom have made them successful. I mean no disrespect to the level-headed stars, many of whom just may care, such as those who are not supporters of Obama, or may have served in the Military; although it sure has been a while since any of them has done so. Was it Mr. Eastwood, Bill Cosby, or Morgan Freeman in Korea? Or was it Elvis or Chuck Norris in ’57 and ’58 respectively? Or did any of them go to Vietnam? The ones I have found are- Jeff Bridges, served in the Coast Guard, and Drew Carey was in the Marine Corps from 1981-1987, but do not let me forget Army Military Police Laurence Tureaud, serving until 1975. I pity the fool who forgets Mr. T. A little gap there-say, a Vietnam sized gap. (save Mr. T.) I am also sure there are Republican celebrities; I have a list, just Google it. Why do we not just go to George Clooney’s house and have one of his Democratic star studded orgies? And what is the real deal with the scientology nonsense? It sounds a lot like Atheism to me. This must be the reason BO said that this is no longer a Christian Nation. By the way, a lot has been talked about Mitt Romney and his wealth. Really? Obama is a millionaire, too, somehow. Is his father must be digging for diamonds in Kenya, or whatever it is they have worth a damn? I mean no offense to those who do not deserve it, and immense offense to those who do. Of course, my favorite line in the Clint Eastwood classic “Unforgiven”, is “Deserve’s got nothing to do with it.” Let us remove any President who apologizes to anyone for anything. It is a sign of weakness. I suppose I went off topic. So, where did all of that 500 billion just go? We will never know. Do you think Tom Hanks is going to get a position in the Obama staff now? All of his other highest donators have; but a movie? Is it a comedy?
