A new seven-minute Obama campaign video offers a robust Democratic defense of the president's first term, putting a positive spin on his economic record and portraying Republicans as scheming to "tear the president down." The video "Forward" will be blasted out to Obama supporters on email and social media and featured at grassroots organizing events around the country, including the president's first two public re-election rallies on Saturday in Ohio and Virginia, the campaign says.
Tracking closely to the Davis Guggenheim-produced documentary "The Road We've Traveled," the spot opens with a refresher on the seriousness of the financial crisis in 2008.
As a red line on an employment graph sinks lower and lower to suspenseful music, dour economic headlines flash on screen - massive layoffs, home sales plummeting, foreclosures spike, Lehman Brothers goes under. President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney appear briefly. Former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan calls the situation a "one in a century type of event."
Cue the happy music and scenes from the 2009 inauguration. An upbeat narrator says it was Barack Obama to the rescue. "On the day Barack Obama took office, America had already lost 4.4 million jobs - an economic disaster, the worst in a generation.
Some said America's best days were behind us. And like America, he dug deep, fought back and never lost faith in our ability to meet the challenge," the narrator says.
The video highlights first the rescue of GM and Chrysler and touts the resurgent manufacturing sector. It credits Obama with new financial protections for consumers; Wall Street reform; health care reform (specifically, no pre-existing conditions; reduced drug costs for seniors; and contraception coverage); wind and solar energy advances; middle class tax cuts; college loan reforms; and the "don't ask don't tell" repeal.
"Hard work, determination, real results," the narrator says.
Then the film pivots to a storyline Obama has spent months cultivating, that he is a warrior against a recalcitrant Congress and Republicans "waging a campaign to tear the president down."
Flashing pictures of conservative commentator Glenn Beck, Fox News, House Speaker John Boehner, and Sen. Mitch McConnell - saying the top priority of Republicans should be to deny Obama a second term - the message is that Republicans are the party of 'no.' Mitt Romney is not mentioned by name, but he appears in the montage.
The final 45 seconds of the spot are a slideshow of Obama accomplishments - including the killing of Osama bin Laden and ending the war in Iraq - meant to portray an active and successful president.
Republicans were quick to criticize the video for what it left out about the past three and a half years, including higher deficits, a climbing national debt, more than $500 million in failed loans to Solyndra, and a push for higher taxes on upper-income earners.

Fungus Hungry For Plastic
More Than Mere Magic Mushrooms

This week we're talking about fungus two ways. One that can survive exclusively on polyurethane and another that can replace Styrofoam.
Both polyurethane and Styrofoam are not biodegradable, so without a solution, all the plastic bottles and old toys we throw out every year will be sitting in landfills for centuries.
Yes, you can recycle plastic, but that just means turning it into another product and recycling hasn't sufficiently slowed the production of new plastic.
According to a Yale study, globally we produced 245 million tons of plastic in 2006, compared to only 1.5 million tons in 1950. One of the fungi we're looking at is called pestalotiopsis microspora. It was discovered by a group of Yale researchers on an expedition in Ecuador and can subsist on polyurethane alone in airless environments, like the bottom of a landfill.
The other comes from a couple of college friends who discovered that the sticky substance on the bottom of mushrooms called mycelium could be turned into a glue and when that glue is combined with corn husks and other food byproducts it takes on a form similar to Styrofoam. Their company, Ecovative wants used Styrofoam to become mulch, not waste.
A future with less plastic and more mulch, all thanks to fungus.
MTW- I have, for some time, been hoping that just such an organism would be found; we need to rid our numerous and many decades old landfills of products which are not bio-degradable. This should give anyone who cares about the environment a good feeling. By the way, I am not a tree hugger, yet we all need to take care of our Planet.

Raid In Arizona Yields A Weapons Cache
This is the 2nd raid this year - this one took place on 3/2/12 at 3 am - Border Patrol, Mexican Patrol, AZ swat teams and sheriff's undercover agents. An aquaintance worked with one of the agent's dad for 25+ years and he sent these pictures this afternoon.
3-7-2012 Our country is in BIG trouble.... Why was there no news coverage of this raid on the Arizona border?
Definitely NOT Jose wishing to come pick lettuce!
This is exactly why we MUST support ARIZONA.
This seizure was just last month. Right on the Arizona border! This is but one seizure that has taken place along the border over the past year.
There have been many more like this (but you won't hear about it on major media news). Not a mention on ABC - CBS - NBC - MSNBC - or CNN news- - even on FOX. These photos and reports come from a Spanish language news source.
Thank God for the border patrol and that they did not allow this to get in. Huge stash of assault rifles (grenade launchers in center!).
Enough ammunition to outfit a small army was confiscated.
Military caps and equipment were among the cache.
All types of assault weapons were among the cache.
Many were military grade weapons with plenty of ammo.
There were enough guns to open a gun shop.
It was a major arsenal of weapons including grenade launchers.
Not only weapons but also vehicles believed to have been stolen were found at the site.
One smuggler was killed during the operation when he fired on the border patrol agents.

Arizona does not require a "front" license plate!
Numerous police style bullet proof vests were found in one vehicle.
More than 200 large weapons were confiscated along with about 30 smaller arms
2 grenade launchers were among the cache
It appears these guys intended to portray themselves as police officers or military men.
Each and every vehicle checked had been reported stolen in the USA in the recent past! $380,000 worth of stolen vehicles were recovered.
More than 60 grenades of varying size were found. Arabic writing was on them.
Numerous hand guns with loaded clips were found in the cache.
A single grenade like this could bring $5,000 on the streets of the USA ..
Each of these weapons could be sold for as much as $5,000 on the black market in the USA .
More than 80 stolen cell phones were found.
These could be used for detonating bombs remotely.
Still more rifles were found stuffed in several SUV's
Clips loaded with live bullets were just too numerous to count
All types of weapons including Afghan - Russian - Chinese and many others
Why would anyone object to protecting our borders after they have seen this?
Our Federal Government is suing Arizona over its law. But the Federal law reads almost word for word, as Arizona 's. Problem is...the Federal Government refuses to enforce their law.
Sorta makes you wonder who our real enemies really are...doesn't it?

That is right, these are probably from Eric Holder’s little Fast and Furious project which he refuses to answer any questions about. Do I need to take a hypocritic oath to become a Democrat? I have friends who get angry with me for bad mouthing Obama, because they voted for him. They feel as if they are to blame, and get defensive. They defend this sorry ass President. So many folks are in denial, I am hopeful that they do the right thing in November! Nobama-Nobiden in 2012!

More On Obama- The Ultimate Liar
Obama May Be In Deep Trouble... with Chief Justice John Roberts, US Supreme Court

According to sources who watch the inner workings of the federal government, a smack-down of Barack Obama by the US Supreme Court may be inevitable. Ever since Obama assumed the office of President, critics have hammered him on a number of Constitutional issues. Critics have complained that much, if not all of Obama's major initiatives run headlong into Constitutional roadblocks on the power of the federal government. Obama certainly did not help himself in the eyes of the Court when he used the venue of the State of the Union address early in the year to publicly flog the Court over its ruling that the First Amendment grants the right to various organizations to run political ads during the time of an election. The tongue-lashing clearly did not sit well with the Court, as demonstrated by Justice Sam Alito, who publicly shook his head and stated under his breath, 'That's not true,' when Obama told a flat-out lie concerning the Court's ruling.
As it has turned out, this was a watershed moment in the relationship between the executive and the judicial branches of the federal government. Obama publicly declared war on the court, even as he blatantly continued to propose legislation that flies in the face of every known Constitutional principle upon which this nation has stood for over 200 years.
Obama has even identified Chief Justice John Roberts as his number one enemy, that is, apart from Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and so on. And it is no accident that the one swing-vote on the court, Justice Anthony Kennedy, stated recently that he has no intention of retiring until 'Obama is gone.' Apparently, the Court has had enough. The Roberts Court has signaled, in a very subtle manner, of course, that it intends to address the issues about which Obama critics have been screaming to high heaven. A ruling against Obama on any one of these important issues could potentially cripple the Administration. Such a thing would be long overdue.
First, there is ObamaCare, which violates the Constitutional principle barring the federal government from forcing citizens to purchase something. And no, this is not the same thing as states requiring drivers to purchase car insurance, as some of the intellectually-impaired claim. The Constitution limits the FEDERAL government, not state governments, from such things, and further, not everyone has to drive, and thus, a citizen could opt not to purchase car insurance by simply deciding not to drive a vehicle. In the ObamaCare world, however, no citizen can 'opt out.'
Second, sources state that the Roberts court has quietly accepted information concerning discrepancies in Obama's history that raise serious questions about his eligibility for the office of President. The charge goes far beyond the birth certificate issue. This information involves possible fraudulent use of a Social Security number in Connecticut, while Obama was a high school student in Hawaii.
And that is only the tip of the iceberg.
Third, several cases involving possible criminal activity, conflicts of interest, and pay-for-play cronyism could potentially land many Administration officials, if not Obama himself, in hot water with the Court. Frankly, in the years this writer has observed politics, nothing comes close to comparing with the rampant corruption of this Administration, not even during the Nixon years. Nixon and the Watergate conspirators look like choirboys compared to the jokers that populate this Administration.
In addition, the Court will eventually be forced to rule on the dreadful decision of the Obama DOJ suing the state of Arizona. That, too, could send the Obama doctrine of open borders to an early grave, given that the Administration refuses to enforce federal law on illegal aliens.
And finally, the biggie that could potentially send the entire house of cards tumbling in a free-fall is the latest revelation concerning the Obama-Holder Department of Justice and its refusal to pursue the New Black Panther Party.
The group was caught on tape committing felonies by attempting to intimidate Caucasian voters into staying away from the polls. A whistle-blower who resigned from the DOJ is now charging Holder with the deliberate refusal to pursue cases against Blacks, particularly those who are involved in radical hate-groups, such as the New Black Panthers, who have been caught on tape calling for the murder of white people and their babies. This one is a biggie that could send the entire Administration crumbling--that is, if the Justices have the guts to draw a line in the sand at the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

According to sources who watch the inner workings of the federal government, a smack-down of Barack Obama by the US Supreme Court may be inevitable. Ever since Obama assumed the office of President, critics have hammered him on a number of Constitutional issues. Critics have complained that much, if not all of Obama's major initiatives run headlong into Constitutional roadblocks on the power of the federal government. Obama certainly did not help himself in the eyes of the Court when he used the venue of the State of the Union address early in the year to publicly flog the Court over its ruling that the First Amendment grants the right to various organizations to run political ads during the time of an election. The tongue-lashing clearly did not sit well with the Court, as demonstrated by Justice Sam Alito, who publicly shook his head and stated under his breath, 'That's not true,' when Obama told a flat-out lie concerning the Court's ruling.
As it has turned out, this was a watershed moment in the relationship between the executive and the judicial branches of the federal government. Obama publicly declared war on the court, even as he blatantly continued to propose legislation that flies in the face of every known Constitutional principle upon which this nation has stood for over 200 years.
Obama has even identified Chief Justice John Roberts as his number one enemy, that is, apart from Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and so on. And it is no accident that the one swing-vote on the court, Justice Anthony Kennedy, stated recently that he has no intention of retiring until 'Obama is gone.' Apparently, the Court has had enough. The Roberts Court has signaled, in a very subtle manner, of course, that it intends to address the issues about which Obama critics have been screaming to high heaven. A ruling against Obama on any one of these important issues could potentially cripple the Administration. Such a thing would be long overdue.
First, there is ObamaCare, which violates the Constitutional principle barring the federal government from forcing citizens to purchase something. And no, this is not the same thing as states requiring drivers to purchase car insurance, as some of the intellectually-impaired claim. The Constitution limits the FEDERAL government, not state governments, from such things, and further, not everyone has to drive, and thus, a citizen could opt not to purchase car insurance by simply deciding not to drive a vehicle. In the ObamaCare world, however, no citizen can 'opt out.'
Second, sources state that the Roberts court has quietly accepted information concerning discrepancies in Obama's history that raise serious questions about his eligibility for the office of President. The charge goes far beyond the birth certificate issue. This information involves possible fraudulent use of a Social Security number in Connecticut, while Obama was a high school student in Hawaii.
And that is only the tip of the iceberg.
Third, several cases involving possible criminal activity, conflicts of interest, and pay-for-play cronyism could potentially land many Administration officials, if not Obama himself, in hot water with the Court. Frankly, in the years this writer has observed politics, nothing comes close to comparing with the rampant corruption of this Administration, not even during the Nixon years. Nixon and the Watergate conspirators look like choirboys compared to the jokers that populate this Administration.
In addition, the Court will eventually be forced to rule on the dreadful decision of the Obama DOJ suing the state of Arizona. That, too, could send the Obama doctrine of open borders to an early grave, given that the Administration refuses to enforce federal law on illegal aliens.
And finally, the biggie that could potentially send the entire house of cards tumbling in a free-fall is the latest revelation concerning the Obama-Holder Department of Justice and its refusal to pursue the New Black Panther Party.
The group was caught on tape committing felonies by attempting to intimidate Caucasian voters into staying away from the polls. A whistle-blower who resigned from the DOJ is now charging Holder with the deliberate refusal to pursue cases against Blacks, particularly those who are involved in radical hate-groups, such as the New Black Panthers, who have been caught on tape calling for the murder of white people and their babies. This one is a biggie that could send the entire Administration crumbling--that is, if the Justices have the guts to draw a line in the sand at the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Military Cancels Ted Nugent For Using His 1st Amendment Rights
Military Cancels Ted Nugent Performance Citing Violent Rhetoric About Obama

Citing inflammatory language while expressing his displeasure with President Barack Obama, the military has uninvited rock star and conservative political activist Ted Nugent from performing at Fort Knox in Kentucky, according to the U.S. Army post's Facebook page.
"After learning of opening act Ted Nugent's recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation," it's Facebook posting says. So far, the June 23 concert remains on the Fort Knox schedule, with REO Speedwagon and Styx listed as "co-headliners," but army personnel said they will grant requests for refunds in light of their decision to nix the opening act.
The cancellation is the latest wrinkle in a controversy that has engulfed Nugent since last weekend when, speaking at an NRA convention, the rocker said that he would be "dead or in jail" if Obama is reelected in November. Also referring to Obama and Democratic candidates in general, he told the NRA faithful: "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."
Use of the violent metaphors earned Nugent a visit from Secret Service agents on Thursday. He said Friday on his website that he had with them a "good, solid professional meeting concluding that I have never made any threats of violence toward anyone." A spokesman for Fort Knox told TheBlaze.com that having Nugent perform "would be a conflict of interest since the military has the obligation to be apolitical."
Such a claim, though, seems dubious when it comes to choosing entertainers, who oftentimes show their partisanship. At its website, for example, Fort Knox is touting an appearance this month by comedian Jay Phillips who is supportive of Obama through his Twitter activities. And Ludacris has performed at U.S. Army bases even after the 2008 release of his pro-Obama song "Politics As Usual," which calls Hillary Clinton, who was running against Obama at the time, a "bitch" who is "irrelevant." The ultra-partisan song also called President George W. Bush "mentally handicapped" and says that Sen. John McCain "don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed."
Fort Knox personnel did not return calls or emails requesting clarification on their "obligation to be apolitical" in their entertainment selections. Comments at the Fort Knox Facebook page have been running about 3-1 against the decision to boot Nugent from the concert.
"He is such a supporter of the troops. Such a shame that he was canceled for expressing his freedom of speech. This is America, if you have not forgot," one commenter wrote.
"I thought that freedom of speech was one of the very same things that our military fought for. When Obama said he was going to change the military, he did. He made them cowards. Shame on you Fort Knox," said another.
And on the flip side: "Anyone who threatens a U.S. president like that should not be allowed on a military installation. No matter which party he affiliates himself with. Good decision."

Members of the Military do not even have the Freedom to say what they think about Obama. Does that tell you anything, moron? House Republicans kept a key plank of their energy policy alive, defying a White House veto threat and passing legislation mandating the building of a controversial oil pipeline. The text calling for construction of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to the US Gulf Coast was inserted into a bill extending transportation funding, which passed 293-127 in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. About 70 Democrats voted for the measure in the House but it is considered unlikely that the bill -- in its current form with the Keystone XL provision -- would pass the Democrat-controlled Senate. Congress had already approved a 90-day funding extension last month, after the House refused to pass the Senate's two-year, $109 billion transportation bill that had bipartisan support. The new House extension allows the party caucuses to gather together to hash out a compromise.
While House Speaker John Boehner had worked in vain to get the House to pass a massive, five-year transportation bill, he was hailing the latest extension as a victory. Mitt Romney vowed Friday that, if elected president, he would build the controversial Keystone Pipeline linking oil deposits in Canada to refineries on the Texas gulf coast.
"I will build that pipeline if I have to do it myself," Romney said during a speech before state Republican Party leaders gathered at a retreat in Arizona. It was Romney's first major appearance before party officials as the party's presumptive presidential nominee. But Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus, who was chairing the event, stopped short of formally endorsing the former Massachusetts governor as the GOP nominee, because Romney has not officially clinched the necessary number of delegates required to claim the nomination.
Romney, who took the stage to a standing ovation, delivered essentially the same speech he has given for the last two days, attacking President Barack Obama on everything from his handling of the economy to his policies on energy, health care and education.

House Republicans kept a key plank of their energy policy alive, defying a White House veto threat and passing legislation mandating the building of a controversial oil pipeline. The text calling for construction of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to the US Gulf Coast was inserted into a bill extending transportation funding, which passed 293-127 in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. About 70 Democrats voted for the measure in the House but it is considered unlikely that the bill -- in its current form with the Keystone XL provision -- would pass the Democrat-controlled Senate. Congress had already approved a 90-day funding extension last month, after the House refused to pass the Senate's two-year, $109 billion transportation bill that had bipartisan support. The new House extension allows the party caucuses to gather together to hash out a compromise.

Obama fires back at criticisms of his travel

The White House on Thursday dismissed as "kinda ridiculous" complaints that President Barack Obama has been billing taxpayers for criss-crossing the country, giving speeches in states that could be critical to his reelection campaign. Obama himself recently weighed in on the issue. The controversy centers on the arcane process by which taxpayers pick up the tab for "official" trips while his reelection campaign or the Democratic National Committee pays for "political" travel. When a presidential foray includes both kinds of events, the cost is divided according to a formula that presidents have declined to make public.
Asked whether taxpayers were improperly footing the bill, Obama press secretary Jay Carney replied: "They're not." "We follow all the rules and regulations to ensure that the DNC or other relevant political committee pays what is required" for political travel, Carney said. "We go absolutely by the book." The press secretary also hit out at critics who have noted that Obama's message at political events is largely indistinguishable from his official events."The suggestion that there is something wrong with the fact that the president says the same thing about what his vision is, and what his policies are, and what his beliefs are in front of official audiences, non political audiences, as he does in front of audiences who are his supporters, I think is kinda ridiculous," Carney said.
But what about criticisms that Obama's election-year travel has skewed heavily towards battleground states like Ohio and Florida? "We were recently in Oklahoma. I'm an eternal optimist, but I'm prepared to suggest that it's unlikely that anyone would call that a battleground state," Carney said. As for states like Virginia, Carney said, "the president should not be penalized for the fact that the voters of Virginia decided to vote for him." "You're saying he cannot make official trips to a significant portion of the country because you guys have declared them battleground states?" the spokesman said. "It is impossible for him to appropriately do his job and travel around the country and talk with the American people if he is guided by that kind of narrow view."

I do not think that the book has a chapter about the first lady and her dual flight and protection details; this family did not even travel together to Christmas vacation, costing us untold amounts, yet they sure are up in arms over the way the Romney family travels with their dog. On Friday, April 13, 2012, my beautiful Pointer (dog) of 15 years passed away. As we, my sister and I, had finished burying her, I took a few minutes alone at her grave to pray. When I turned to walk away, I looked up. Just that very moment, Air Force One was flying over my house in Melbourne, Florida. Is that not special? A dog eating, non-citizen, unlawfully elected, unqualified, and most inept President of all time curses my beloved Pepper. She deserves better. Maybe he was not on board. What if they dropped him off in Tampa, to go for a ride on one of his 1.1 million dollar Canadian-built buses, picked up some hookers and some cocaine (you can get both here), and went on a little joy ride on our buck. Melbourne International Airport is on the other side of my neighborhood, yet I had, and still have not found out why it was here. There are but 3 or 4 runways at this airport. I was told he was supposed to be in Tampa. (I do not know this to be fact) The pilot must have been lost, as I live on the East Coast, and, you guessed it, Tampa is on the West Coast. I would like to take a good long look at the book that they are using, as it seems to be an invisible, magical tome with every story ever told in it, allowing for any possible interpretation, obviously. Remember, if his lips are moving, try not to step in the bullsh!t, which always seems to be coming out of his mouth. How many people believe his birth certificate is a forgery? Seriously, if any questions I have proposed here have answers known to any of my readers, feel free to comment on this post, or just email us. I would certainly like some of these mysteries solved. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Incidentally, I too am an NRA member, and I loved what Mr. Ted Nugent had to say. Nice way with words, as the metaphors did not escape me. We do seem to have a problem with the coyotes pissing on us. Keep trying, BO, to silence us and our First Amendment Rights, and just try and take on the Second Amendment. I believe sir, that you have already left enough skid marks on the Constitution. I sure hope there is more than one copy. I do not think we want that one back. US Muslim: I was tortured at FBI's behest in UAE

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — His interrogators usually came in the morning. Peeking under a blindfold in a cold concrete cell, Yonas Fikre says he caught only glimpses of their shoes. They beat the soles of his feet with hoses and sticks, asking him about his Portland, Ore., mosque and its imam. Each day, the men questioning him in a United Arab Emirates prison told the 33-year-old Fikre he would be released "tomorrow," according to an account he gave on Wednesday at a press conference in Sweden, where he has been since September. "It was very hard, because you don't know why you are in there and the only person you speak to is either yourself, or the wall, or when you go to the restroom or when you go to the torture place," said Fikre, who was held for 106 days. "I have never been that isolated from human beings in my entire life." An advocacy group alleges that over the past two years the FBI has been using aggressive tactics against Muslim-Americans travelling abroad to try to pressure them to become informants when they got home. Gadeir Abbas, staff attorney for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, says there have been several instances of FBI agents calling travelers into embassies or consulates for questioning.
The FBI is not commenting other than to say its agents follow the law. Fikre, who converted to Islam in 2003, is the third Muslim man from Portland to publicly say he was detained while traveling abroad and questioned about Portland's Masjid as-Sabr mosque. The mosque, the largest in Oregon, has been in the news on several occasions. Mohamed Osman Mohamud, a Somali American charged with plotting to set off a bomb in downtown Portland in 2010, occasionally worshipped there. A decade ago, seven Muslims with ties to the mosque were arrested following a failed effort to enter Afghanistan and fight U.S. forces. Fikre says he met Mohamud a handful of times, but wouldn't call him a friend or even an acquaintance.
U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner confirmed Wednesday that Fikre was held in Abu Dhabi "on unspecified charges." Toner said when State Department officials met with him in July 2011, he showed no signs of mistreatment. Fikre, a naturalized U.S. citizen, was born in Eritrea, a country east of Sudan. He moved to Sudan when he was a boy, then moved with his family to San Diego in 1991, then later to Portland. He married in 2008, and says he traveled to Sudan in December of the following year to pursue business opportunities. Fikre says that in April 2009 he was asked to go to the U.S. Embassy to discuss concerns about "safety and security" for U.S. citizens.
Instead, he claims, two FBI agents told him he was on the U.S. government no-fly list, and they could help get him off it if he gave them information about the Portland mosque and helped them with a "case" they were working on. Fikre says he declined. Fikre says he traveled to Scandinavia to visit relatives, and then to the United Arab Emirates to pursue business possibilities with a friend who had moved there from Portland. According to Fikre, non-uniformed police pulled him out of his Abu Dhabi neighborhood on June 1, 2011, and took him to a prison. Fikre says he was held there for more than three months, with his captors asking him questions like those he was asked at the U.S. Embassy in Sudan — details about the Portland mosque. He says one of the worst moments was when a U.S. Embassy representative visited him in the prison on July 28. He says he was warned by his interrogators not to tell the representative he was being beaten, or "hell would break loose." He said he tried to wink and signal to her that he was under duress, but she didn't notice. "She was the only person that I felt could get me out of that position at the moment because she is my representative to the outside world, she's my representative to my embassy and she just left me there and she walked away," Fikre said. Toner confirmed State Department officials were granted access to meet with him on July 28. "According to our records, during the July 28 visit, Mr. Fikre showed no signs of mistreatment and was in good spirits," Toner said. "He reported that he had been treated professionally and was being well-fed, and did not have any medical conditions or concerns."
Fikre says the beatings and interrogations continued, and that during the last days of his confinement an interrogator acknowledged the FBI had requested that he be detained.
State Department officials requested to visit Fikre again in September, but learned days later that he had been deported to Sweden, Toner said.
Beth Anne Steele, a spokeswoman for the FBI office in Portland, said she could not discuss specifics of the case. "I can tell you that the FBI trains its agents very specifically and very thoroughly about what is acceptable under U.S. law," she said. "To do anything counter to that training is counterproductive — we risk legal liability and potentially losing a criminal case in court."
When Fikre was released on Sept. 14, he had lost nearly 30 pounds. He has applied for asylum in Sweden. He, his attorney and the Council on American-Islamic Relations are demanding the U.S. Justice Department investigate his treatment. Rising reported from Stockholm, Sweden. MTW- Is this not simply disgusting? Our freedoms are decreasing every day. It matters not what name we call God. I believe in God. Is that enough? I think so, and as far as I am concerned, it is of little import to what your particular religion is called, nor that religion’s beliefs and customs. I believe that we are all worshipping the same God. I have made statements about Obama, and the fact that I, as are many others, am convinced he is a Muslim. The problem that I have with this, and it is not as if I am saying it is bad, or wrong to be Muslim; the problem I have is the dishonesty he is becoming renowned for keeps me from believing he is the Christian he says he is. If he is Muslim, I do believe the worst possible thing to do is to deny it, as he is denying his Faith. I whole-heartedly believe that we are all praying to the same God, and that we are not as different as our leaders have been leading us to believe. Did you notice how many times I used the word “believe”? I did it for a reason. Our BELIEF in God proves that we have Faith. If we try to live a good life, and treat each other as we would want to be treated, as well as believe, Heaven, or Paradise and Eternal life awaits us when we die. In this article an American Citizen has had his Constitutional Rights violated. Have they cloned J. Edgar Hoover? This is how the FBI behaved under his charge, and he was a transvestite. We all, every Human Being on the face of the Earth, have the Right to decide how and in what way we show our Faith (or lack thereof). Not just the United States. Of course, they did outsource the job.

MTW- Is this not simply disgusting? Our freedoms are decreasing every day. It matters not what name we call God. I believe in God. Is that enough? I think so, and as far as I am concerned, it is of little import to what your particular religion is called, nor that religion’s beliefs and customs. I believe that we are all worshipping the same God. I have made statements about Obama, and the fact that I, as are many others, am convinced he is a Muslim. The problem that I have with this, and it is not as if I am saying it is bad, or wrong to be Muslim; the problem I have is the dishonesty he is becoming renowned for keeps me from believing he is the Christian he says he is. If he is Muslim, I do believe the worst possible thing to do is to deny it, as he is denying his Faith. I whole-heartedly believe that we are all praying to the same God, and that we are not as different as our leaders have been leading us to believe. Did you notice how many times I used the word “believe”? I did it for a reason. Our BELIEF in God proves that we have Faith. If we try to live a good life, and treat each other as we would want to be treated, as well as believe, Heaven, or Paradise and Eternal life awaits us when we die. In this article an American Citizen has had his Constitutional Rights violated. Have they cloned J. Edgar Hoover? This is how the FBI behaved under his charge, and he was a transvestite. We all, every Human Being on the face of the Earth, have the Right to decide how and in what way we show our Faith (or lack thereof). Not just the United States. Of course, they did outsource the job.

The school called police. The police report says when an officer tried to calm the child in the principal's office, she resisted and was handcuffed. The girl was charged with simple assault and damage to property. Police Chief Dray Swicord says the department's policy is to handcuff people in certain situations. "Our policy states that any detainee transported to our station in a patrol vehicle is to be handcuffed in the back and there is no age discrimination on that rule," Milledgeville Police Chief Dray Swicord told WMAZ.
The girl's aunt, Candace Ruff, went with the child's mother to pick her up from the police station. She Salecia was by herself in a holding cell and complained about the handcuffs. "She said they were really tight. She said they really hurt her wrists," Ruff told the Associated Press. "She was so shaken up when we went there to pick her up." Officials at Creekside Elementary did not immediately return calls Tuesday. "We would not like to see this happen to another child, because it's horrifying. It's devastating," Ruff said.

A Simple Analogy, With Some Truth
An analogy of our system of Government

Does anybody out there watch the television show “Fringe” on Fox? If not, here is the premise. In this show, there are two universes, at first, pitted against one another. Unable to cooperate, or compromise, they tried to destroy one another, both Worlds in chaos, and on their way to self- destruction. However, as the series has progressed, the two sides began working together, despite their earlier differences. A bridge was built between the two Worlds, and certain individuals from one side or the other cross over, to work with their former enemies to aid each side to make things better in both Worlds.
Does this sound familiar, save for the working together part? Two opposing sides, the Democrats and Republicans, in Congress, are not willing to work together for the good of this Nation, nor do they ever compromise with each other. Even if said cooperation would be to our benefit. No one side is completely right, and the other completely wrong, yet the fanatical obedience and loyalty to their party’s beliefs is confounding. They already consider themselves “Elite”, as they work very little, and are very much overpaid. Not to mention the “perks” of their positions of power, such as healthcare and full pay for life, even if they serve only one term. To me, it would appear that they care much more for themselves, their political affiliations, power and money, than they do the average American Citizen. You know, the huddled masses, as we have all “tightened” our belts until it has run out of notches. Compromise and cooperation would more than likely save our Country, as we have a giant drain on our taxpayer’s monies named Michelle “I like vacations” Obama. Thought I would say the President, did you not? Alright, I will. The first lady is only able to take these trips, on OUR dime, because a multitude of Americans were lulled into electing this Man to Preside over the Ineptocracy he has created, rather than the “change” his Hitler-like oratory skills had promised (apologies postumously to Hitler, as you actually helped your country before you went insane); he did also promise the Hispanic Community to enact better immigration requirements, to help get the Hispanic vote. But did he do anything that he said he would? Of course not, for in order to serve two terms, things had to get worse, to enable him to place blame on others; and yet to take ALL of the credit for anything good that happens. Now, as it is re-election time, is it not strange that the same promises, which were not fulfilled, are being brought forth once again? I am only able to tell he is lying if his lips are moving. An Obama lover, Timothy Geitner was asked by a woman, if the 92% job loss for women since Obama took office as stated by Mitt Romney was indeed true. He said it was not. Well, actually it is true, and we can see just how deceptive this Party and its Administration have become. It is appalling. And there is just one more minute problem; it is the back taxes, owed by Federal employees, and those wonderful rich and famous Hollywood celebrities, who are blessed with such an opulent life and frivolously money wasting way of life, as the super-rich. This must be why most of them are Obama supporters. If I am incorrect about that, those of you who wish to may let me know, as I am easy to contact. I am well aware of the Hollywood Republicans, whom I am not currently addressing. The following articles bear out exactly where the Government could get the funding to repay the billions it has pillaged from Social Security, and the myriad of other Intagovernmental agencies which we are currently indebted to. That is my opinion.

The data showed that 467 employees of the House of Representatives, or about 4.2 percent of the workforce, owed more than $8.5 million. In the Senate, 217 employees, or about 3 percent of the workforce, owed $2.13 million. Obama's staff was not immune, either, with 36 people in Obama's executive office of nearly 1,800 workers — about 2 percent — owing the government $833,970 in back taxes. Obama used part of his State of the Union address Tuesday night to promote economic fairness, arguing for changes in the tax code that would create a minimum tax rate of at least 30 percent on anyone making more than $1 million. The finances of one of his chief Republican rivals, Mitt Romney, has been scrutinized because he, like many millionaires, pays a lower rate because most of his income came from investments, which are taxed at a lower rate. The IRS report attracted the attention of Republicans, who said it undercut the president's argument on taxes. "If Obama wants people to pay their 'fair share,' perhaps he should start with his own staff," tweeted Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus. White House officials noted that the delinquency rate among executive office staff had fallen from nearly 3 percent in 2008. In 2009, 41 employees in the president's executive office owed about $830,000, representing about 2.3 percent of its workforce. White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage said the annual report was released by the IRS because there is a "high standard for government employees." "Though the report shows that fewer executive office employees owe taxes than in the last year of the previous administration and we expect all employees to pay their taxes in full, more needs to be done to ensure compliance and the president has asked his team to work on this issue," Brundage said. Overall, the total amount owed is down slightly from September 2009, when more than 282,000 federal workers owed $3.3 billion in taxes. The report does not offer specific explanations for the delinquencies. Many people who owe back taxes file returns but cannot pay the full amount when their taxes are due, said IRS spokesman Anthony Burke. Others may be disputing the bill, may have filed jointly with a spouse who owes taxes or may have had their tax bills increased by an audit and cannot pay the higher amount. The statistics on federal employees do not include those who are on payment plans. The IRS doesn't provide a comparable delinquency rate for income taxes paid by the public. Among Cabinet agencies, the departments of Education and Housing and Urban Development had the highest delinquency rates, at nearly 4 percent. Online reports (http://eonli.ne/HDd0EP) that Richie owes the federal government $1.1 million in unpaid taxes and that a lien has been issued warning that the singers' assets may be seized if he doesn't pay up in a timely manner. A message seeking comments from Richie's publicist wasn't immediately returned Saturday. A call to Anderson's tax attorney, Robert Leonard, wasn't immediately returned.
California law requires tax authorities to update and publish the names and amounts owed by the state's 500 biggest tax scofflaws twice a year. I believe he simply stated that they can take all of the money, he can make more. He did. Although, the Stars do not owe but a tiny fraction of what the Federal employees owe. Is that not peculiar to you?

Power Hungry Politicians

This Man, Shreveport, Louisiana Mayor Cedric Glover believes that he can take away Constitutional Second Amendment Rights? All of my fellow NRA members, as well as EVERY SINGLE PERSON WITH A PERMIT should take a drive through his town, with our Patriotic and NRA stickers plastered all over our vehicles. Let me know, I am in. I do not think his little LEO's could handle the volume. Should they not be taking those rights from the CRIMINALS, rather than Patriotic and responsible American Citizens? I suppose his behavior is a by-product of watching the President wipe his butt with the Constitution; but, what do I know, I am merely a writer.

Unexplainable, Inexcusable
No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.
This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ".
MTW- Sounds like a good idea to me.

I could not find it in my old Webster's dictionary. I Googled it and discovered it is a recently "coined" new word found on a T-shirt on eBay. Getting really close to the bone! Read this one over slowly and absorb the facts that totally are within this sentence!

Supreme Court Orders Arizona Rancher to Pay Illegal Immigrants $80,000
(October, 2011 story).
Arizona Rancher, Roger Barnett, had been stuck in a vicious legal battle from 2004 to 2011. Many illegal immigrants were trespassing his property and he held a group of 26 of them at gun point. According to the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund, the illegal immigrants' rights were being infringed upon. Their case: Barnett did not feel threatened by the illegal immigrants and therefore he could not have been acting in self-defense. A nearby rancher was murdered by illegal immigrants in 2009. First of all, if you have a gun you wouldn't feel threatened. Secondly, it is his property. You give up your rights once you trespass someone's property without permission -- let alone coming crossing the border. He was ordered to pay $80,000 because three of the illegal immigrants had Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Ummm?

From Arizona Daily Star: The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a 2009 ruling against Cochise County rancher Roger Barnett, forcing him to pay about $87,000 in damages related to his assault of illegal immigrants on his ranch in 2004. The jury found him liable on four claims of assault and four claims of infliction of emotional distress, and ordered Barnett to pay $77,804 in damages. The $87,000 he must pay reflects that original amount plus interest. Howard “Buck” McKeon, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and a Republican from California, said in a statement to the Washington Free Beacon. “We can’t keep asking those who have given so much to give that much more.”
Kesler Dufrene Kills 3 After Deportation Halted by Obama Administration
I just learned about a story from the DailyMail.co.uk that has me quite upset. According to the article, Kesler Dufrene is an illegal immigrant that has twice been convicted of felony -- but was released instead of being deported to Haiti. Deportations to Haiti were halted following the earthquake that devastated Haiti. They released him instead of keeping him in custody. Mobile phone tracking technology and a rifle linked Dufrene to the murders but when detectives came after him 18-days later, he killed himself. The mother of one of the victims is very upset. "This guy shouldn't have been in America," said Audrey Hansack, 37 ... after the murder of her daughter Ashley Chow. "I'm so upset with the whole situation. Because of immigration, my daughter is not alive." The murders occurred in January 2011 so the story is a year old but only today did I find out about the story. The lax immigration policies of the Obama administration has consequences. How many times do we have to hear the administration wants to halt deportations in Denver or that Obama's administration is granting backdoor amnesty? We realize how capital intensive it would be to find every illegal immigrant and deport them. But is it too much to ask that anyone already in our custody be deported immediately? Especially if they are convicted of felonies like this guy.
In 2006, he stole a car! Here is how it all happened. First, Obama halts deportations of Haitians. After the devastating January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the Obama administration announced it was indefinitely halting deportations to the country.
Foreign nationals cannot stay detained
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2001 and 2005 that foreign nationals who cannot be deported may not be held in detention longer than six months.
Conclusion
The Obama administration should have known better. If the law of the land is that foreign nationals cannot be detained longer than six months then he should not have indefinitely halted deportations for fear that dangerous people like him would be released. Some may tell you that it is not compassionate to deport immigrants to Haiti. But I disagree. Compassion should not be given to criminals. And he should have been deported anyways. Three people could still have been alive. So let's be more strict on how we handle illegal immigration.
