The Beastie Boys rapper passed away at the age of 47. Adam Yauch, perhaps better known as MCA, was the group's founding member. Though the cause of death isn't clear yet, Yauch was diagnosed with a cancerous salivary gland in his neck several years ago. He is survived by his wife and daughter. MTW- When the Beastie Boys got started, it created change in the world of hip-hop, and it blossomed into a wonderful thing. It has been such a terrible week of losses, from Junior Seau to MCA. My crackas, you guys are the bomb. God bless you, Adam, and thank you to the Beastie Boys for everything you have done as artists. You shall be missed, and not only by the others Beasties, but to the millions of fans throughout the World. It is our loss. Requiescat in pace.
