Let Us Hope Dick Lugar Does Not Do Well In GOP Primary

If ever there was a time for gun owners to charge up a hill together to reclaim the high ground from our anti-gun enemies, it's right now.
And the man standing atop that hill is anti-gun Republican U.S. Senator Dick Lugar of Indiana.
Now, sometimes folks assume that just because a politician is a Republican, he is a solid supporter of the Second Amendment.
I hope you don’t make that mistake with Dick Lugar.
You see, you and I are only one or two votes shy in the U.S. Senate of losing our right to keep and bear arms.
We have the most anti-gun administration in nearly 20 years. The last time such a rabid anti-gunner was in charge in Washington, we got the Brady Bill, a ban on an entire class of semi-automatic hunting and target rifles, and millions of gun owners lost their rights.
The good news is, State Treasurer Richard Mourdock, Lugar’s Republican primary opponent, has returned the National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun.
This isn’t a surprise, Richard Mourdock has a long history of fighting for Hoosier gun rights.
The contrast between Mourdock and Lugar couldn’t be more stark.
For the last 25 years, the gun control lobby has counted on Dick Lugar to do their behind-the-scenes Senate dirty work on Capitol Hill.
He’s even been called "Barack Obama's Favorite Republican."
You may remember in 2011 when he went on national television to call for a reinstatement of the so-called "Assault Weapons Ban."
Paul Helmke, former President of the notoriously anti-gun Brady Campaign, said, “Sen. Lugar is one of my heroes.”
Helmke's praise of Lugar might stem from the fact that Lugar’s Press Secretary, Mark Helmke, is Paul Helmke’s brother, giving the anti-gun Brady Campaign unparalleled access to a "Republican" U.S. Senator.
You and I both know that election season is the best time to lobby politicians and hold them accountable for their voting records.
That’s why I need freedom-loving Hoosier’s like you to turn up the heat on the ant-gun crowd’s favorite Republican: U.S. Senator Dick Lugar.

The gun-banning Brady crowd loves Senator Lugar because he has voted with them more than any Republican Senator in Senate history:
*** Dick Lugar voted for the Brady Instant Gun Owner Registration Scheme, otherwise known as the "Brady Bill";
*** Dick Lugar voted for the so-called "Clinton-Reno Assault Weapons Ban" and called for it to be reinstated in 2011;
*** Dick Lugar voted for restrictions on private sales of firearms.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
For these reasons, New York’s billionaire mayor (who also leads Mayors Against Guns), Michael Bloomberg, recently held a fundraiser in New York City for Dick Lugar.
Lugar’s connections to the gun-banning elites are just too great to ignore.
His disdain for the “tea party” movement (i.e. moving our government toward a more Constitutional approach and encouraging fiscal accountability from Washington) is epic.
Perhaps most important, this is a U.S. Senate race -- Dick Lugar's anti-gun votes have major implications on your gun rights. He also represents a very pro-gun state.
And with his long tenure in Washington, Dick Lugar has significant power in the U.S. Senate to continue his assault on our gun rights.
To top off everything, Lugar is refusing to return his National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey. That’s why “D.C. Dick” Lugar needs to hear from you, today.
Demand that Dick Lugar publicly apologize for each and every anti-gun vote he’s made. Demand that he answer the National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey 100% in favor of your gun rights, and pledge that in the future, he will stand up to the gun-grabbers and cast his votes in support of the Second Amendment.
But there isn’t much time.
Here’s what you can do to help:
1.) Thank Republican candidate, State Treasurer Richard Mourdock, for pledging his long history of 100% support for your right to keep and bear arms;
2.) Give Dick Lugar heck for his long history of supporting gun control. Demand that Dick Lugar publicly apologize for each and every anti-gun vote he’s made; and he answer the National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey 100% in favor of your gun rights.
There’s no doubt about it, the upcoming elections will have a greater impact on our Second Amendment rights than any other election in our lifetime.
And with so much at stake, I’m really going above and beyond to make sure every person in Indiana who cares about the Second Amendment knows exactly where their candidates stand.
And I’m counting on good folks like you to help make that possible.
Most importantly, contact Senator Dick Lugar and demand that he publicly apologize for each and every anti-gun vote he’s made in the U.S. Senate. Tell him to return the National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun.
While you’re at it, thank Republican candidate State Treasurer Richard Mourdock for returning his candidate survey 100% in support for your right to keep and bear arms.
MTW- Let us hope that Obama's buddy Dick (aptly named) loses big in the primary, and the GOP tosses his ass out. My opinion, as I count on both the First and Second Amendments on a daily basis. This article courtesy of "The National Association for Gun Rights". Nobama-Nobiden in 2012!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

UPDATE: Dick did not do well, and the Democrats say that they are pleased? I am no Dem, but he can take his anti-gun ass home. We need our Constitutional Rights intact, no matter what Obama is trying to do.
