President Obama has violated Section Three of the Palestinian Accountability Act of the United States Congress by authorizing a $192 million aid package to the Palestinian Authority. The Palestinian Accountability Act clearly and unequivocally stipulates that “no funds available to any United States Government or agency…may be obligated or expended with respect to providing funds to the Palestinian Authority.”
By signing a Presidential Waiver and authorizing payment of the 192 million dollars Obama is unilaterally going against the law, the will of Congress and the wishes of the American people as expressed by their democratically elected representatives.
This is very dangerous because it flouts the American system of checks and balances and usurps the authority of both Congress and the law, by the President of all people.
The most disturbing aspect of this policy is Obama’s claim that it was “important to the security interests of the United States”.
I’m definitely not an expert on the security of the United States, but it is hard for me to understand how giving money to the Palestinian Authority benefits the security of Americans. However, I’m positive that by unilaterally overturning US law, the enemies of the United States, and Israel, learn quite clearly that going against US policy doesn’t necessarily invite punishment.
Hence a more logical outcome of this waiver is more harm to US security interests since US enemies will now be encouraged to go ahead with anti-US activities since they not only go unpunished, but they get rewarded!
MTW- This guy, he nearly leaves me at a loss for words. He does this, and yet he has the support of the Jewish voters here? I do not get it. I am with Jon Lovitz (I think he is Jewish, too) on this when he said, and I quote, "what a f-ing a-hole!". And he said that before this even happened. It would appear that our Constitution has been placed on a roll in BO's restroom, as he seems to wipe his ass with it frequently. What do you expect from this Arab President, that he will like Israel? Apologies to any Arab I may have offended by calling him what he is. Like his father before him. He is over in Afghanistan today, so- you know, the Mossad-if I say any more the Secret Service might show up, and I will not be treated very well, as I am not a pimp. I am surprised Jimmy Kimmel is still breathing. Do you all see our president smiling whilst he is touching the arm of Abbas? How does he treat you, Mr. Netanyahu? Shalom. Nobama-Nobiden in 2012!
